• Hi,

I’m new to WordPress and trying to figure out the basics.

I don’t want to have a site title or tag line – just have the header image as my logo.

How can I make this logo a link to the home page?

    Thanks

  • Hi Ksio,

Go to your dashboard, then Appearance->Theme Options->Desgin Options->custom Header
Upload a header logo and choose show header logo only radio button.

    Hello Rabin,

I uploaded an image following the instructions above to create a header image, ,but have since changed my mind on the image…it won’t let me change it to another image though? I have tried to upload another image 7 times but the first image uploaded is staying firmly put?!
It is the very first amendment i have made, therefore completely re-installing the theme is an option, last result mind, how would I go about doing that if need be?
Please understand this is my first go and i’m sorry to be dense!

    Thank you in advance,
    Tish

Ahh. Managed to get it on there, but it’s shown up beneath the previous one?!

Sorted it! Ignore me!!! Thank you anyhoo!!!!

    Hi there,

I have the same problem as Ksio – I added a custom header and I want to use it as logo. It is not linking to the first page, even when I’m following your instructions and check the Header only radio button.
My second problem is the white space above the header that appears. Could you give me a clue how to reduce it?

    Thank you!

It took me a LONG time to figure this out, but I finally realized I needed to to “insert into post” at the bottom of the media insertion window.
    That did the trick.

Hi krymka, did you ever figure out how to reduce the white space above the header? Thanks!
