How to make Widget logic work on a “sub-page”

    I currently have a Widget logic-modified widget posted on this page: https://www.jjmccullough.com/index.php/articles/ It is just a text box saying “Test” on the right hand sidebar. The logic field is set to “is_page( articles )”, however it does not appear on the page. When I delete the tag it appears everywhere, as one would expect. I have selected “Use ‘wp_reset_query’ fix” which is common troubleshooting advice but to no avail.

    I am wondering if this has something to do with the fact that the page is a sub-page of the index.php page. Is my conditional tag incorrect?
