How to Manage Categorywise Block with Content in Frontpage Panes

  • I want to create categorywise block with categorywise content in frontpage panes. like online newspaper sites. I am using graphene themes.

    for example
    IT News (Category)
    – news1
    – news2

    Economic News
    – News 1
    -News 2

    Pls help me.

  • In the Control Panel, under Appearance, look for Widget. You can drag and drop the Category Widget into the appropriate panes..

    ya, but i want to display the contents with specific category in content area not in sidebars. i did setup static page (frontpage). I can’t setting display categorybased post like Online Newspaper style.

    Unfortunately there’s no easy setting for you to do that in the content area.

    If you are willing to code, there’s a documentation on WordPress that teaches you to place a widget in a theme.

    The other options would be:
    1. Find a plugin along the term ‘widget shortcode’.
    2. Find a theme which already has category feature on the frontpage.
    3. Get a developer to create a custom template for the theme.
