How to manually link to products

Hi! I am using this plugin to make it easy for a client to add in data (image, caption, etc). The one thing I am running into is that I don’t want the linking to be automatic because there’s sections where the products need to link to a PDF, specific page, etc and keep the breadcrumb structure intact instead of changing it to “Product”. How can I override the auto link creation? I am by no means a programmer, but any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
