    Hi All,
I currently have a WP.com blog that is pointing to my domain: https://fabgreen.com. I’m using a WP.com theme called Unsleepable, and it’s hosted through BlueHost.

Anyone out there able to help me figure out how to migrate my blog over to www.ads-software.com? I don’t know CSS well, and had asked a friend who knew CSS to help but she couldn’t understand how CSS themes work in the WP environment.

I’d like to migrate over exactly as it is so that I can use Google Analytics, Adsense, etc. on my blog.

    Thanks so much,
    Stephanie

  • The general steps:

    1. Export your current blog via Manage->Export
    2. You need to visit your domain registrar and change the name servers for your domain to point to the https://www.bluehost.com name servers. See https://helpdesk.bluehost.com/kb/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=1
    3. Install WordPress at BlueHost
    4. Use Manage->Import->WordPress and import the data from Step 1.
    5. Find and install the theme you want to use.

I have some similar problems. I have a blog in wordpress.com and now my educative instution have www.ads-software.com.
How can I migrate my blog from wordpress.com to www.ads-software.com and that respect all my stuff. like videos images and themes?

You will use the same general steps Michael provided, but you’ll want to make sure your host will handle all the plugins and themes you are moving over, and you will need to backup your plugins folder and your themes folder and bring them with you. It is also possible that your new hosting co. may have older or newer versions of php, or mysql, or other such things which may render certain plugins or themes unusable. My suggestion is to just make sure you have a good backup before you attempt the transfer.
