How to minimize images that are too big?

    Hello,

    for most of my pictures, resmush says that they are too big to optimize (> 5MB).

    Do you know a way to reduce the image size?

    It would be very helpful if the plugin provides a solution in the error message displayed in the settings.

    Thanks a lot for your support & donation ??
    The plugin won’t resize your pictures, so two approaches :
    – resize these pictures BEFORE upload or your can directly resize these images in WordPress (have a look at this great article : https://www.seedprod.com/how-to-resize-an-image-in-wordpress/). If you have a lot of images to resize, you should install a plugin like Imsanity
    – let “original” pictures with a huge size, and let your website uses only “thumbnails” pictures in the theme. Your WP website will use only size-optimized pictures to your user, and you won’t have to consider warnings about non optimizing files > 5MB.
