How to modify widgets?

  • I enabled a few widgets, but now I cannot find the widgets files as indicated here: https://automattic.com/code/widgets/use/

    I was looking at the graphic form and I followed the path:
    wp-content/plugins and in here I only see:
    akismet hello.php langswitch_flags langswitch.php

    I don’t have a widgets.php file or folder. Before using widgets I was able to modify the menu by editing the sidebar.php file. Now how do I edit these widgets? thanks
