    Hi,

The only php files i see in my wp directory are in a “inc” folder (directly below my css folder) which includes a custom-header.php file… is this the file you’re suggesting I modify? Because you’ve referred to a header.php file, which I apparently don’t possess…

What’s working: I did create a child theme and it is activated and working fine.

I also noticed alchymyth recommended going through the appearance/editor to access the header.php, but the only file I see there is the style.css file from my child theme. (which is obviously just redirecting to its parent theme).

FYI I read this already (and is what I’m referring to to some degree):

Thank you in advance for any help! It’s much appreciated ??

Also, I understand the editing of the php aspect; I’d just like to make sure I don’t edit the wrong php file.

You need to make a copy of your header.php file and put it in your child theme folder – that’s the one you will edit – then your changes won’t be overwritten by WP updates :)!
