How to move huge amount of posts to new site?

  • Hi there,

    I am looking for a way to move a large amount of posts (1600) from one WordPress site to another. Each post has a featured image, an image in the post and text. I will also need to move the authors, categories, tags and comments.

    I have tried using the import and export function but I end up with no featured images and the images in the post are pointing to the old site.

    Has anyone done this with a large amount of posts and how can it be done?
