I am moving my hosting, but the domain name remains the same.

I have nicely backed up the database using the PHPMyAdmin on the old host.

The new host (1&1) also calls its interface PHPMyAdmin, but it doesn’t look the same. It doesn’t have a nice “Import” tab at the top of the screen.

Instead, their help says to click the SQL button, then “Import Files” tab. But unlike the WP instructions, there is no “SQL” button to click – it says it’s looking for a text file, and nothing happens when I select my WP backup file and tell it to use that.

I hae no idea about the more technical aspects of using SQL… Can anyone help me, please??

Is there a Go button at the bottom right of the screen?

Okay, just to let you know I got the message, I’ll go ahead and post about how silly I feel.

I had clicked the “go” button, and waited for ages, but it didn’t do anything… But unbeknownst to me it WAS still doing it.

So when I went back to look after reading your post? Naturally, my db was there. LOL

    Thank you!!
