• We have been using DropinBlog for our website’s blog section. However, as we are in the process of transferring some of our sites to WordPress, we encountered an issue in moving DropinBlog to WordPress. Specifically, we found that DropinBlog doesn’t provide database access, and we could only export in a CSV file. Unfortunately, when we tried to import the CSV file containing more than 200 articles and around 2500 images into our WordPress site, we were unsuccessful.

We have tested several popular plugins, including WP All Export, Import CSV or XML Datafeed With Ease (Free version only). However, most of them do not download images, while others get stuck in the middle.

I need help to import these articles. Is there any way to import them on WordPress with images?

Weird the CSV importers don’t work. Raw data like that usually handles pretty well.

It might just be more efficient to keep using DropInBlog within WordPress: https://dropinblog.com/blog/how-to-add-a-second-blog-to-wordpress/

Yes. I found it weird stop in the middle or encounter errors. It must be good to have access of the database so that we can move the database fully and modify some. I talked with Dropin support and they also won’t provide the database access. Feeling once you using them, you have to use it forever.

Can’t really expect DB access to a SaaS beyond an API I guess.
