How to move site from staging site to live server without losing everything.

Hi there, I have moved from website from its staging area on a test server to the live site. Basically none of the page builder settings are retained after this move and also when I open a page for example where the page builder would have had a good few rows and setup the text editor is residing on the TEXT tab of the editor and not the page builder tab of the editor.
So 2 questions here.
How do I move a site from one server to another? and secondly how to recover this layout I had which is very comprehensive and certainly not something that can be done again in 10min!!!
I do have a backup of course I just want to make sure I am moving between servers correctly. I have tried a few different types of moves of the site and nothing seems to work – each time all the settings of page builder are literally wiped out from what I can see.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
