How to move the blog?

  • Yes it is.
    Once it works perfectly, you need to do 3 things:
    – move every single file down to that directory, but keep the wp structure (as in wp-admin/ wp-images etc
    – change the two web addresses in options.
    There is a way to do this the right way round, but I can’t remember what it is, but if you have phpmyadmin, it’s very easy.
    Move all the files, then look inside the ‘wp_options’ table – you need to alter the ‘site_url’ and ‘home’ values

    Yep. You will just have to go under Options and change all the urls that point to where your index page is.
