How to noindex category pages using Yoast?

I know, I’ve got his latest tutorial relating to noindexing in general in front of me https://yoast.com/articles/wordpress-seo/#noindexfollow but if you read it it tells you how to noindex author and date archives but not category archives. I have a site where the navigation is via the category pages so I need to noindex it but not nofollow it to avoid duplicated content penalties. If you Google for this then it just comes up with stuff from 2007 referring to old plugins. I’m stuck!
