How to not show entire post content at main page..

    I;m fairly new with WordPress so this may be a dummy question:

    How do I show ONLY SOME CHOSEN POST CONTENTS for my blog index?

    For example, on my site index I only wanna show one photo and a few lines from the post, and only when they click on the actual post then that’s when readers will be able to see and read the whole thing…

    Use the more tag in your WordPress WYSIWYG editor (where you write the posts). You’ll need to click on the “code” version to insert the following code below the last line you want to show.

    <!–more–>

    If you do a search on Google for automatic excerpt Plugins you can install a Plugin instead which saves you having to write this code into every blog post.
