    Hello,

Wish to understand what steps I’d have to ensure before optimizing my 1 year old database that has a lot of content and revisions. The database is quite large and I’d like to understand the steps to optimize it successfully. I don’t want to have a situation where the maintenance is stopped half-way due to either the database being very large or server running out of memory – apart from a backup what steps are you recommending?

Secondly I already have an existing cache setup, so would I activating this plugin disturb the existing one in any way? I wish to only use the database optimization, and don’t wish to switch on the cache, but would like to know in advance if just activating the plugin would cause the basic cache settings to also get activated.

    Thanks!

  • @notjustshrawan You’ll only have to click optimize button with all the tables selected and that’s it WP-Optimize will optimize the database tables on your site.

If you already have cache setup, Then I’ll suggest you to keep the existing cache settings, As enabling WP-Optimize cache, will conflict with your existing setup.

    Thanks,
    Harshad
