• Hello Dear Mods and Experts

I have an issue with my clients’ website [heylenberlaar.be]. This sites store section is generated by shortcode and the images for the products are from a third party website (medipim). This is causing an issue with the performance of the website. When I test the site on GTmetrix, the warning is shown to OPTIMIZE THE IMAGES. Now, how do I go about fixing this issue, or optimize the images? is there any way to optimize those images?

Also, how do I optimize the captcha that is used on this site?

Here is the link to GTMETRIX: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/heylenberlaar.be/0ChbRpLK

I would greatly appreciate the help and suggestion.

    Thanks in advance.

  • You cant cache third party images but if you install plugins to download and cache, maybe that could be a solution ( Check this web: https://bateriaselectronicas2000.com/ ). Anyway, there is no problem about SEO, your gtmetrix report 81% / 70 % is good enought.

    Hello,

So unfortunately, you can only optimize things that you can control (on your site, on your server). Unless the PharmaShop shortcode has some feature that allows one to request a specific image size (upon the pull).

Likewise, with the ReCAPTCHA image, that image comes from Google and Google’s servers, and even with invisible ReCAPTCHA, the badge still contains this image. You could try an alternative form of CAPTCHA if it’s a huge issue, but it’s really the Pharma images that are dragging on the site speed.

    Hey,

if you want to optimize the images, you have to import them or use a third-party service like https://kraken.io/plugins.
But I don’t think the images are you biggest problem concerning the performance, because they are lazy loaded.
    You could try:

    • Don’t use Revolution Slider (Self-coded is much faster)
    • Fix Errors (See in the console) -> jquery.themepunch.tools.min.js:103 GET https://clinicotst.miramar.com.ua/wp-content/ net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED (Don’t use RevSlider)
    • Reduce your DOM (HTML) and requests (JS, CSS) (Don’t use RevSlider)

However if you want to use RevSlider, you could try a plugin like Autoptimize to reduce the requests.

@llanesnet Thank you very much. It worked perfectly for me with the cache on the website https://microfonosinalambricos2000.com/
