How to order event listings by date

Which date wise do you want to add order by ?
Posted event date or start date ?

For events you can hire expired and cancelled events from the event listing setting you it will show upcoming events only.
[events order="ASC"]

order – Defaults to ‘ASC’. Can be set to ‘ASC’ or ‘DESC’ to choose the sorting direction.

I thought events could only be ordered by title, ID, name, modified, parent or rand as written in that page.

You can change the order of events by orderby clause.
orderby – Supports title, ID, name, modified, parent, rand.
[events orderby="title"]

Yes, it wasn’t clear from the docs that events are ordered by default by date. I thought that was not allowed in the free version.

Sorry for the inconvenience but all the shortcode parameter added on the doc with description.
