How to organise the way posts appear on the blog

Dear all,

I would like to see how is it possible to organise the way posts appear on my blog. At the moment – posts appear at the top of each other. I want to be able to make them like many other sites (e.g. https://www.guardian.co.uk/) where i can have a photo/teaser text
etc.

To be more specific: I want to have lets say a photo – under it text, then a continue reading link that takes the reader to the full article.

Under it – i’d like to have:

Links for other articles
Links with smaller teaser text

Can anyone help? BTW I added the plugin: Read More Right Here – but did not know how to use it.
