    Hi,

I’m using a custom function to order CPT by popular ones, depending on the custom field “burst_total_pageviews_count
the problem is that when posts have 0 visits they don’t show at all; the burst custom field neither. That’s normal.

Is there a way to populate the “burst_total_pageviews_count” field with number “1” if empty, or not yet generated for a post.

Thanks in advance for your help

  • Hi @chillmen,

I hope I understand the situation and question correctly, but wouldn’t it work to simply visit those page(s) in question in order to increase their pageview count to at least “1”?

Or you could try performing these adjustments directly in the database, if you feel comfortable doing so (although I’d always recommend having a back-up ready before making any DB changes, so you can always revert if needed).

You will find burst_total_pageviews_count and its’ value in the wp_postmeta table, next to the ID of the post it conerns.

Hope this helps you achieve the desired results.

    Kind regards, Jarno
