How to post exerpt on mainpage?

  • Well , i like it very much (WP i mean).But still a newbie to it.
    Can someone help me how to post at main page not a full posts but just exerpts and titles of them.And then after reading an exerpt and title user can go to full article (post) by link on title as it now.
    Sorry if someone already asked this , but i havn’t found it in discussion list…

  • Use the <–more–> tag where you want the break in your text to appear.
    Click ‘more’ in the quicktags area.

    You can do a search on the_excerpt – I have posted directions on how to display the excerpt on the front page, but the full post on the single post page. The alternative is to do as podz has suggested.
