there’s no “best options” really, it’s a matter of trying settings, comparing performance results & testing to make sure nothing breaks ??

but generally;
* optimize CSS, aggregate CSS, inline & defer CSS (with correct “above the fold CSS” or with “critical CSS” active)
* optimize JS, aggregate JS, exclude as little as possible (although jQuery often needs to be excluded)
* optimize images (you will probably need to buy extra credits at shortpixel) & lazyload images
* asyncjs is only interesting if you have 3rd party JS which AO is not able to aggregate/ optimize

I had to refresh a couple of times, but the preload link is now visible in the HTML source for me;

Eventually Pagespeed Insights will see it too ??
