How to prevent downloading app. 5 featured images

    Hello,

    I am running a news website using Megazine Lite, i want to buy the Premium theme because it has options i need. But before buying i have one important question.

    I use rss feeds to get the news items, all feeds download featured images, not one but app. 5 – 8 images in all different sizes. The problem is all those images are downloaded, while in fact i only need one image for the thumbnail. All other images are useless, it only spams my server. I read something about featured images:

    Is there a way to prevent downloading all those images?

  • Hi Pieter,

    these are thumbnails that are generated by WordPress as part of the Media settings in your WordPress dashboard and predefined thumbnail sizes from the theme. It’s how WordPress works and you can’t turn that off, unless you code custom functionality for this or try to find a plugin for that purpose.
