• Hi how to prevent making duplicate image that is already existed in the media Library ,
    for exemple : an image named **”ABC”** I want to reupload the same image ,but wordpress create a duplicte image and rename it **”ABC_1″**
    Normally wordpress have just to replace the existed one without creating new duplicate image , Guys how to prevent this

    That may be what you want. But it’s a mistake to think that that’s what everyone wants.

    The new image may be totally different or have different dimensions that may not “work” for the older post that the old image was used in. Replacing older images willy-nilly like this can produce undesirable results.

    The beauty of WordPress (and open source) is that we can have choices!
