How to prevent site content beneath modal from scrolling

I have read the getting started guide, but did not find the answer.

2. I expect that scrolling in the modal does not affect the site beneath.
3. When on mobile I scroll in the modal the site beneath is also scrolling. This causes flickering of background items. Most visible on Movbile Safari
