• My websites are very simple but my host told me, due to big fluctuations in usage statistics, and even hitting the limit at times, there might be a lot of virtual traffic n my sites. Now I do know that some of my databases have malicious content in it. I will clean it in some way, which I am trying to figure out. But until i do, is there a way to prevent this bad virtual traffic happening to my website? My host recommended me to purchase a firewall which is waaay over my budget as I dont make any money with these sites yet. How else can I prevent this virtual traffic, before I clean the bad content on my databases as it might take some time for me to learn. Is there a plugin may be to prevent this bad virtual traffic?

    Carefully follow this guide.

    When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.

    @ketanco Please use Cloudflare.
    This will help to prevent unwanted traffic to your website. Also check if you have any cracked theme or plugin installed. cracked items may have malicious code. also use SSL. incase you dont have budget for ssl use Cloudflare flexible ssl.
