How to prevent Wp from resizing a header widget image?

  • Hi folks,

    I have managed to install a custom widget in my header, cool, all was going well until I put an image src in a text widget,

    Nobody said anywhere Wp resizes these images automagically! so my lovely 728 x 90 is now 728 x 141, that’s no good, therefore, my question today, How to prevent Wp from resizing a header widget image?

    …and if so prevented will it affect auto-thumbnails?
    (I don’t care about content page images as I always upload exact sizes)
