    Hello, I must be doing something wrong and/or different each time I upload a video and place into a post. Sometimes the video shows up and sometimes its a link that someone has to click on to view the video on a new page. I’ve pasted a link to one of my pages that shows both situations. The video on top shows up correctly. If you scroll to nearly the bottom you will see a link that says “glam apples” which is an example of how I dont want the video to show up. ANy advice is appreciated. Thanks!

    You might try TinyMCE Advanced and then use it’s Insert -> Video Menu option which should do a better job of putting the appropriate tags around the link.

    Hello @jennmccoy

    This is really none of my business, however, I would seriously advise against hosting your own videos.

    it’s much better to upload the video to a video uploading service such as Youtube and then embed the video on your webpage.

    It will make your page load faster and tremendously reduce the load on your server.

    @jennmccoy,

    I will wholeheartedly + 1 to what @j09 said … upload your videos to YouTube, Vimeo or one of the other video streaming services.

    Unless you have a very use-case situation where your videos are proprietary, the above-noted options are your best bet. That said, if you DO require your videos not to be shared or available to the public, I might suggest one of the paid versions of Vimeo where you can limit the access to the URL of your website; I have used this for corporate employee training videos.

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I am not opposed to using youtube but I had stopped recently because I don’t love how video suggestions pop up and the end and I had recently noticed inappropriate and also competitive companies showing up.
