Hello every one. I will add more details to make my question clear.
I want to make a copy of my current wordpress woocommerce website and give it to someone as a help. My only condition to him, he can’t use it for illegal purpose or something we did not agree on. He can use it for selling items only. He can change the theme if he wants.
Now the question is: can I use IP address or any sort of protection just in case to stop the copy on his server via from my server?
I hope I did not write a lot. I just want things to be clear as much as possible.
Thanks every one in advance for help

  • Hey @1joe,

Once someone has your site they can pretty much do whatever they want on there own host, not quite sure if I understand the full scenario but typically that is the case.

    Hope that helps~

@cory, thanks for your reply. I was thinking to report block his server IP address just in case. I would say he stole a copy of my current running website! It might work since I have made a lot of changes in my server side files. Maybe I can encrypt some files to prove the copy belongs to me but not sure whether it works with wordpress as I have not tried that yet! The main thing is I want to be able to block or stop the site via on his server through some files or IP. I’m web developer and normally I can do such things with sites I develop myself but not with WordPress as I do not have very good experience with its security.

Imagine a vechile with track system that you can stop via when a person failed to pay installments.

    Hey @1joe,

Yeah, I’m not 100% sure how to help on this one, you might post a question to the general forums someone might have some ideas there.

    Cheers~
