    Hi,

How is the correct way to use the shortcodes to hide part of content in pages?

    I’m using like this:

    dfsdfdfdsfjknfdjkfndfjkdnfjkfndfjkfnjkfnfjkfdsf
    dfsdfjsdkfsdkjfsdjfksdbfkjsdfbsdkjfbsdkjfbsdkjfsd
    fsdfsdjbfsdkfbsdjkfsdbfkjsdbfdjksfbsdjkfsbfkjsfbds
    [content_control]
    ljklkjljkljkljkljklkjlkjl
    jklkjlkjlkjljljljljjkjllkj
    [/content_control]

And the second question is about protected content. In the case above, if search engine robots index my pages, the content inside of the shortcode will also be visible? Or it still protected?

Theres any way to show an login widget for users to login and after login return to the same page? And the forgot password also show in front end if user not remember their password?

    Thanks!

  • Hey @rodrigomc2000

    Thanks for using Content Control.

Yes, using the shortcode [content_control], you can restrict parts of your page. For example:

    This is an example paragraph.
[content_control] This is content for logged-in users! [/content_control]
    This is another example paragraph

For search engines, the bots that scan your page will not be logged in. Therefore, the content inside the shortcodes will not be visible to the search bot which means the content will not be shown on search engine results pages.

Currently, this plugin does not have the option to show a login widget when the user is not logged in. This is something we are looking into but I cannot estimate when this will be available.
