    Hi,
I use this All-in-one security plugin.
someone managed to get the username from the website files and tried brute force to login.he was stopped and reported to me.

    my questions are:
    1. how can a hacker get the username of the administrator (how can he open the wordpress files and get the usernames?
    2. what are the settings I should execute to prevent this from happening?
    thank you for your help.

There are many different brute force attacks methods for accessing a site. For example: They can force their way via the server. Another method is to force themselves via your site “Login and registration forms”. Our plugin already has the Brute Force tab available to help you prevent brute force attacks. However our plugin does not protect your host server. The security and protection of your server is carried out by your host.

The following documentation all-in-one-wp-security-plugin-pingback-protection-settings, can also help you.

There are also other features in our plugin to help you further protect your site.

Let me know if you need more information or help.

    Thank you
