• Hello
I want my WordPress user’s profile picture to not be the same as Gravatar’s. I don’t want to have the same image, for example, in the www.ads-software.com forums as in the blog of my website.
I do not want the profile image that I use in WordPress to be seen in the forums.
I don’t know what I should do, to add the profile photo of the WordPress admin user, it only allows me to do it through Gravatar.

Is there a way to change this?
Is there a way to unlink gravatar from my google account that I have as a WordPress administrator?
How to put a profile image that is not Gravatar?
    Thank you

There are several free avatar plugins, however you can still use Gravatar to serve 2 different avatars for the same Gmail address by using a Gmail alias:

    1. At https://en.gravatar.com/emails/ add a Gmail alias [email protected] (in this example, “alias” can be anything, as long as it comes after a + and before the @).
    2. Upload a new image and assign it to that address when prompted.

Then, use that alias wherever desired. Email will still deliver to the [email protected] address, but Gravatar will treat it as an entirely separate email and thus an entirely separate avatar (if set).

Thanks for your quick response @macmanx
I’m sorry to say that in https://es.gravatar.com/emails/ there is no possibility to add “alias”
Only other emails can be added, since it asks you for email confirmation.
If I add the following example [email protected] , it sends me a confirmation email to this address, which of course does not exist [email protected]

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong for this not to work

No, what I mean is you add an email address, and that email address is an alias of your existing Gmail address, and what I provided earlier was meant to be an example.

If your email address is [email protected], an alias you could use would be [email protected]. Both [email protected] and [email protected] could then have two different avatars while all email still goes to [email protected].

I don’t want to use real email addresses here because these are public forums, so hopefully that makes it clearer.
