    Hello!

I’d like to know what is the expected behavior for PMPro when I raise the price on a level set with infinite recurring payments through PayPal Express.

    Will it:

    1. Keep charging the original price for existing subscriptions and only charge the new (higher) price for new checkouts?

    …or…

    2. Automatically start charging my customers the new (higher) price on the next payment cycle?

If it behaves like scenario 1, is there a way I can automatically raise the price for infinitely recurring payments in between cycles, “streaming subscription-style”, to make it behave like scenario 2?

My ideal scenario would be “auto-raise” like option 2, and use discount coupons for “infinitely fixed rates” in special sales.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @nunks

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

If you change the level’s pricing, scenario 1 will occur. Existing members are ‘locked’ into the price they signed up for at checkout.

There is no easy way to automatically increase pricing through PayPal Express. You may reach out to PayPal support to see if they are able to increase the pricing for you from their end.

You would need your existing members to checkout again for their same level at the new pricing or a different level to update their payment amount. I do recommend in keeping these existing members on their current/old pricing and grandfather these members in. Subscription changes are usually limited with PayPal, and requires customer authentication to change the pricing

I hope this helps get you started.
