How to read the post_thumbnail's original dimensions?

  • Hello all,
    I’m developing a new plugin and I’m trying to figure out how to read the original dimensions of the post_thumbnail image.
    I want to read the ‘x’ & ‘y’ dimensions and use them as variables to determine if the original image is portrait or landscape.

    Any suggestions? TIA, zen.
