In Live mode I appear connected to my PayPal account.

In Test mode however I get..

Payment Status: You need to address the following issues before you can start receiving payments:

    • Missing merchant details from PayPal. Please reconnect and make sure you click the button to be redirected back to your site.”

I’m sure I had the modal PayPal (for Live & Test) earlier but something is not right somewhere and I cannot make modal reappear.

So how do I force a disconnect/reconnect the PayPal Test/Sandbox account?

    Hi @formularon

You should have a button “Disconnect Webhooks”, click that and then you have another button to Disconnect from PayPal. Once that is done you can connect again.

I tried the Disconnect Webhooks numerous times yesterday without success. Did the same this morning and it disconnected and the PayPal button finally re-appeared. Looks like some odd caching issue somewhere. Thanks

It is possible that some caching on the database level could have caused that. Glad that you got it working in the end!

    Hello all ,?

    I hope you’re doing well.

I’m encountering an issue with the PayPal integration in Easy Digital Downloads. Here’s the error message I’m seeing:

API: Your PayPal account is successfully connected in sandbox mode.
Payment Status: You need to address the following issues before you can start receiving payments:
Please click “Re-Check Payment Status” below to confirm your payment status.
Webhook: Webhook successfully configured for various events (payment capture, disputes, subscriptions, etc.).
Gateway Status: PayPal is not currently active. Please enable PayPal in the general gateway settings to start using it.

In addition, I see some account limits for receiving, sending, and withdrawing amounts through PayPal. These limits might be affecting the functionality.

EDD support message : the issue is from my paypal account :

Can you please help me troubleshoot this issue? I’d like to ensure PayPal is correctly enabled for live transactions, as it’s a crucial part of my setup.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

    Hey @arroubzakariae12

We noticed the issue on our end on some test sites and it seems to only affect Sandbox mode for PayPal. This might be an issue on PayPal’s end as nothing changed on our code.

To verify Live mode is fine, please go to Downloads> Settings > Payments and uncheck the option for “Test Mode”. This will disable test mode inside EDD. Now you can go back to the PayPal settings under Settings > Payments > PayPal and make sure you are connected with your real PayPal account.

      • Log into your live PayPal business account.
      • Make sure it’s not a sandbox/test account.

      • Go to Wallet in PayPal and link your bank account.
    4. Add USD Currency in PayPal:
      • Go to Settings -> Manage Currencies in PayPal.
      • Ensure USD is added (or the currency you use).
      • Go to the EDD Multi Currency and add USD for paypal
    5. Connect PayPal to EDD:
