• I really need help to recover days of work.I had develop I nice site on my local PC but now this PC is gone and the only data I have saved is the hole htdocs folder structure. Unfortunately I was so stupid that I did not export the databases.

Now on my new PC I installed wordpress with BitNami and copied from my kind of backup the folder plugin, themes and upload to it. The themes and plugin are there but all my posts and pages aren’t. I understand that I can not see the content as I did not export and import the old data bases. Is there any possibility to recover my page in case I have only the old htdocs folder structure? What would you do in my situation?

Thanks for any help which is highly appreciated.

  • I hate to say it, but it’s gone. The site content; posts, pages, comments, settings, paths to any media used – (not the media itself, if you have saved everything in the htdocs directory) – is beyond recovery.

Any modifications you may have made to theme or plugin files should still be okay, but without a database backup, the content is lost.
