how to recover your site (localhost)…
-
Hello,
This is the second time I struggle with this problem, and don’t know what I am missing…
I created my own theme and was testing some plugins (localhost on Mac, running MAMP).
From time to time I create a backup of my complete folder (containing the root and subfolders), as well as an export of the mySQL database.I am in a conflict with “adminimize” that breaks my rights for a certain group (author), so I restored my backup:
1. delete my original rootmap, and reinsert my backupfolder as root. (complete renewal)
2. delete mySQL database and let the SQL script (my backup file) recreate it.All seems succesful since I can the layout was updated (took the correct map), and my posts changed as well (database renewal). When I now go to my adminpanel, and login as my user with the conflict, it still remains…
Am I missing something?
info:
Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) PHP/5.3.2 DAV/2
MySQL-client versie: 5.1.44ps: backup was done manually…
pss: quite new to dynamic webpages (mySQL + php)
