• Hi,

I have redirected the website from a subfolder to the root. My reason for doing this is that it’s much neater when all the files are together in their own folder.

I used the following instructions here

Now the problem I’m having is that all the pages are still under the subfolder instead of under the root (for e.g. https://www.rootdomain.com/wordpress/sample). I would like it to be https://www.rootdomain.com/sample. Is there a way to change this? I’ve noticed I can also still access the website through the subdomain (www.rootdomain.com.au/wordpress). I hear this is bad for SEO purposes. Is there a way to disable this?

    I appreciate any help!

I just tried something and now it appears as if it can’t find the stylesheet anymore. This seems to be really more difficult than I was wanting.

I did not understand what you wanted to do? Do you want to move your blog to root level? or do you want to leave it at /wordpress or want to move it to /sample sub-directory?

also do you have any plugins and what is your theme?
