Hi, could you please guide me on how to edit the Privacy and Policy URL that the link redirects to, based on the user’s language preference? Currently, the link redirects to my default language (English). I would like to know how to add a link that would redirect French users to the French version of the Privacy and Policy page.

Translating cookie bar in TranslatePress image example: https://postimg.cc/DJQ8nkdF

I noticed that there is no option to add a French URL link when selecting “Privacy & Policy”. Can you guide me on how to add a French URL link so that it redirects users to the correct page?

I would like to point out that I am using the cookieYes plugin for my cookie bar.

I look forward to hearing from a community member.

    Thank you ??

  • Greetings,

Thanks for reaching out about your question!

In the editor where you entered the information for the cookie policy, try to use our conditional shortcode: https://translatepress.com/docs/translation-shortcode/

If that doesn’t work, clear your cookies, login again, go to the translation editor, there, the cookie policy should appear again, thus allowing you to translate it.

If that also doesn’t work, you’ll need to copy paste the exact text in the cookie policy in another page and translate it there.

Hello, @andrei202 Thank you for your reply. Should I add the shortcode to the custom CSS of my theme? I am unable to add it anywhere else because I am using a third-party app to create the cookie bar, which does not provide an option to include a shortcode. My problem is that I am unable to include a link that redirects members based on their language preference. An example is provided below.

    https://postimg.cc/QFcsQJW1

The text in the cookie bar can be translated, and I’m wondering how I can include a link that directs users to their preferred language, which in this case is French, my site’s secondary language.

I look forward to hearing from you,

    Thanks,
