How to refresh a twitter card of a news ticker post

    We are currently implementing a news ticker which will be shown inside a post.

    As for all posts, the news ticker will be posted as a tweet on Twitter/X.

    We’d like to ensure that the tweet’s text and image is updated when there are new entries added to the news ticker.

    AFAIK Twitter functionality is only available when using Premium version. We are currently using free version of Yoast SEO.

    Question: when using Yoast SEO Premium, is it possible to make the tweet’s image and text being updated when the post content changes (i.e. new entries to the news ticker are added).

    Hello @hussain76,

    Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. Are you referring to uploading a specific Twitter image for your post so that is shown when you share it on Twitter? If yes, it’s not a premium feature.

    When a post is already shared and you change the Twitter image, the image doesn’t automatically change.
