    Hi,

I accidentally delete some important db table relating to NextGEN.

I tried delete this plugin and re-install it, but this plugin does not work properly since the ngg related db does not exist.

I’ve tried to go Reset Option via Other Options, but it throws exception like this:

    Exception thrown

    not defined for ExtensibleObject

Is there any way to start to clean state for the NextGEN?

@breadncup – You will have to clean up the entire database of NextGEN Gallery related tables and entries is most likely the necessary steps to take.

Have you looked into the core database tables wp_options, wp_postmeta, and wp_usermeta and removed the NextGEN Gallery entries there as well?

Hopefully not required, but worst case you may need to refresh the installation altogether depending on what you did to remove the database entries in the first place. I do hope that is not the case as it can be very challenging to get things back to where they were in some cases.

    Hi Cais,

Unfortunately, the situation is the worst one, I guess.

Do you know what NextGEN Gallery Entries or Keyword I need to search in wp_options, wp_postmeta, and wp_usermeta, please? I tried to “%ngg%” and removed them, but the symptom is same state.

It throws the exception and even I cannot write a post at all.

Could you help me out this, please? How could I reset of all? I delete the plugin and reinstall it, but it’s same.

    Thanks,

@breadncup – Your best bet would be to restore a backup of your site, if you do not have one perhaps your web hosting service can provide one and/or restore your site for you.

    Hi Cais,

I doubt that my web hosting service didn’t backup, and me neither. I didn’t expect a plugin screw my web site up by manipulating db.

I found that there is a separate reset plugin in other thread. Could I get it by any chance?

@breadncup – I strongly doubt the external Reset Tool plugin will serve any purpose to correct this but please feel free to send us a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) so we can get it out to you.

It is also strongly recommended to always have a fully verified complete backup of your site before doing anything at all in the database.

    Cais,

Thank you, and I just submit the ticket. Let me try the plugin once I get it, and let you know how it goes.

    Cais,

Do you know how long it will take to send the reset plugin? I’ve been waiting for a day, but didn’t get it yet.

@breadncup – I believe this is all sorted out now. Sorry for the delays.
