How to remove a drop down menu

Can you create a new menu through the dashboard under Appearance > Menus, then choose only the items you want?

I tried creating a new menu and adding all of the pages into it. The drop-down still keeps popping up.

You could try downloading and installing this Custom CSS Manager plugin, then entering this in it;

li:hover .sub-level {
 display: none;
}
