    Hi Susan, there’s no option for this at the moment, but I’ll try and include it in the next release for you.

    Okay, cool. In the meantime to remove buttons from post excerpts, I commented out line 1443 in wp-content/simple-share-buttons-adder/simple-share-buttons-adder.php:

    add_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'show_share_buttons');

    Hi Susan,

    I’m afraid the solution seems to be quite a bit trickier than I first anticipated as I can’t add the filter within any other functions.

    I’d like to get it sorted in time for 4.0 but there are a couple of minor errors I need to get a fix out for asap. I’ll try and revisit this soon.
