how to remove comment box

Check you comments in the admin section.. Do you see duplicate comments? If so delete what you dont want.

Usually going to the dashboard then page/post, quick-edit, then uncheck the allow comments box. Wish WP would make this comments box easier to change. Been working on mine for days. Now the last person to sign in with name and email address has become a permanent part of the appearance. The automatic verbage says “your email won’t be made public” but when reader goes to comments section; there it is for the whole world to see and I can’t get rid of it. Tried installing a comments plug-in “GuestBook” and like the way it looks and works, was able to take out the displayed email address BUT still have the last registered name on my comments box, can anyone help..site”thehealinghiway.com” thanks
