When Google advises that a page I created is marked as NOINDEX (example: Privacy Policy), why is it showing up in my sitemap created by your plugin?

    MORE IMPORTANTLY
How do I exclude an area, page or post of a website from appearing in the sitemap (example of area: categories) as apparently this is what is confusing Google Search Console?

    Thank you in advance.

  • I am get a similar message. I am actively blocking sites from probing my php code. Does this blocking have anything to do with this problem? Google error message below:

“New Coverage issue detected for site https://www.freeyourmindtx.net/

    To owner of https://www.freeyourmindtx.net/,

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 new Coverage related issue. This means that Coverage may be negatively affected in Google Search results. We encourage you to fix this issue.

    New issue found:

    Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’”

    Hi Arne!

    Happy New Year!

I am experiencing the exact same issue. Pages (and some authors) are marked as noindex but they are still being picked up by your sitemap plugin and submitted on the sitemap.

I did add the IDs under Excluded Posts and that removes them from the sitemap. Not the most elegant solution, but a solution nonetheless. ?? Now I know whenever something is flagged as noindex, it also needs to be manually added to this line.

Now, here’s the issue: I don’t know how to remove specific authors (that have only written one blog post and don’t want to have them indexed and create dup content) Can I add the User id?

    Server: nginx
    WP version 4.9.8
    site: https://conversionsciences.com/

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!

    Best,

    Havi
