sorry that link you provided doesn’t seem to be working. I think you must have deactivated Print My Blog. If you’d like to reactivate it I can investigate further. But I think I know what you’re talkinga bout.
If you’re printing several posts or pages at once, then the loading area is necessary because loading all that content can take longer than what the webserver allows in a single request (if we didn’t have that loading area, and instead tried to load everything right away, the print page would often have a “time-out” error and not show anything.)
When printing an individual post or page, yes the loading area is superfluous because clearly we can load one post OK before the webserver times out. The loading area only exists because it was necessary when printing multiple posts/pages, and the tech for printing an individual post is the same as when printing many posts.
I do hope to remove all that in an upcoming update, but I admit it will probably be several months before that happens. But thank you for voicing it as a priority for you.
