• Hi!

Don’t know if I am at the right place but here I go.

I’ve put some custom schema markup on my website but Yoast SEO plugin implement his own schema markup as well, making double entry but not in the same type of markup. I wanna have schema.org/healthandbeautybusiness and yoast decide that I sould be in schema.org/localbusiness

So, is there a way to block this without removing the plugin?

    Many thanks

  • Hi Frank. You can change the markup that the Yoast plugin creates, but unfortunately it’s not as easy as changing something in the plugin’s dashboard. The plugin files have to be edited in order to change and/or remove the incorrect markups that the Yoast plugin creates (I do this all the time for clients who use Yoast). So the plugin doesn’t necessarily have to be removed, but the files themselves do have to be edited.

Sorry but I hope that helps.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the answer. I thought I would had to do this.

Do you think having different markups, one into organization with my business address and other info and having the same markup into the /healthandbeautybusiness will cause a conflict that will affect me negatively?

Hi Frank. Well, it’s always best to have one single markup on a page instead of two or more. So I’d suggest trying to get rid of those extraneous markups that are being added by Yoast and then go with the best one for your business and that best reflects the content on the page.
