• Hi. I need your help please. We have a site that syndicates content from some news site and we put a link to the source in the article. The problem is that in the rss feed the source url is being shown and we don’t want that.

So could someone provide a code to hide or remove the external urls from the rss feed? We don’t want to use any plugin for that. We’d rather like to add a code for that into the rss feed file.

Please let me know if that is possible and if someone can share a code so I can add it to the rss file of the site in order to get that. I’d really appreciate your help on this. Thanks.

  • How are you syndicating the content, to begin with? Manual copy and paste? Plugin? Custom coding?

However you’re syndicating the content… that’s where your search for a solution would begin.

We have a content scraper which posts the article as draft, then a writer rewrites part of the content and puts the link to the source. So it’s mostly a manual post.

An alternative would be to put a code that adds a no index tag in the rss feed for the external urls. Could I have a code for that maybe?
