• Hello everyone,

I’m trying to remove just the “blog” category that shows up as a tab. I know that if you don’t assign a post to a category, by default it will automatically add that post to the “blog” category.

At the top of the page, it’s structured like so:
Home | Blog | Category Name | Category Name |

Instead it needs to look like this:
Home | Category Name | Category Name | Category Name

Is there a way to completely remove it? I can’t find the category.php file anywhere.

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Which theme are you using? If it supports custom menu, you can set up one in Appearance → Menus.

    Thanks for the reply.

I’m using the Damla theme (did not come packaged with WP)

I do have the option under Appearance and Menus to set up another navigational menu, but that’s located at the top right of the theme. And not only that, it’s a total different Navbar which is probably where the “About & “Help” section goes.

In Post -> Categories. I can delete all the categories that I’ve made, but when I hover over blog, it will not give me the option to delete it.

Not sure about this one. I just need to find the correct php file and exclude that category/blog id.
