    Hello,

I have deactivated the plugin to test my other features. I want to remove the short code added during the installation. How can I do the same?

Else unnecessary menu items are showing on my HomePage even after deactivation – see screenshot

I am using an incog window , so caching is not an issue.

    Kindly suggest how to resolve.

    Thanks

For the pages, you can delete them and I am pretty sure they will be removed from your menu.

The shortcodes added during installations are added only to the login, signup and password reset pages. So delete the pages.

I am assuming, these pages were added by the plugin hence you are asking to delete them, kindly confirm?

    Yes. Exactly.

    I am confused,

    1. If I deactivate the plugin shouldn’t its associated components, including Pages be deactivated?
    2. If the above is not true, why do I need to delete the pages? I noticed simply making them as Draft serves the purpose. Else for me to troubleshoot and resolving the issue means actually having to reconfigure the whole plugin all over again.
    3. If 1 is not true, then it shouldn’t it remove the added pages on a delete of the plugin? Currently it doesn’t and I had to manually delete them.
Please let me know if there are any other residue components of the plugin that I need to manually delete.

That way when I reconfigure from the plugin scratch.

    Thanks

    1. No. Because we have no way to track the pages created.

    2. You requested that you want them removed. If you want them as draft, it’s fine too.

    3. Beside the page created,

Note: deactivate is different from uninstall. No plugin data is removed on deactivation. However everything added by the plugin to your site will be removed when uninstall well except for the pages created.

Before uninstall, ensure “Remove Data on Uninstall?” is check in settings https://cl.ly/8c686264398c

I delete the plugin without checking –

    How do I do a purge manually/alternately?

    Thanks

Reinstall the plugin. Check the box and uninstall again.
